The bigger picture
Is it so hard to see the bigger picture? Is it hard to believe that you can have an impact on tomorrow? Could a smile really change the day for someone? even if you don’t say anything? Could a penny really make a difference between 500 people eating and 5000 people eating tonight? Could one second spent picking up a piece of paper translate into better fuel economy?
Could it really be so easy to change the world? Could it really be so easy to effect the world?
If so, why don’t we?
Because we don’t see the bigger picture. I will not know what happens after I pick up the first piece of trash. I don’t know what will happen after I say “Good morning” to a custodian. I will never see what happens to the man that I am able to feed for the day.
I will never see these lives change because of the simple, little thing I did…just because I took the time to reconginize their existance.
