		<description>Galileo didn&#039;t prove Coperinicus right mathematically, Newton did. Galileo simply used different observations evidence to support Copernicus&#039; theory. Copernicus was going on the observations of the ancient Greeks. Brahe added more observations to those of Copernicus and Galileo. Kepler used the observations of Brahe to &quot;mathematize&quot; the observations through his laws. It was Newton (or maybe Hooke depending on who you believe) who proved, mathematically, that such observations would only be possible if Copernicus&#039; theory was right. I know a lot about this subject, it being the birth of modern astronomy. I can even give you the details of the Hooke/Newton questions. But I suppose this is all off subject...</description>
