This is how I spend an empty Thursday night. I spent about 4 hours fixing my laptop. It’s on its last run I think. The battery, DVD ROM, fan, RAM are all dead or mostly dead. I’ve still got 263 MBs of RAM that’s still good but not sure how long that will last.

It took some major time trying to get the computer to even boot of a CD so that I could install Windows XP. (Linux is having a hard time running wireless cards, at least with the 2.6 kernel.)

So, now to update the computer overnight and install all sorts of happy software tomorrow.
