Star Wars III is a sad, sad movie

The theatre was pretty much half empty last night. I went with a good group of peeps. I found myself laughing at how corny the movie was. When Padmé tells “Annie” about her being pregnant, I said to myself, “15 minutes into it and already I think this movie sucks.”

The movie was horribly predictable and painfully weak! (I should say that I’m not a big Star Wars fan. So there is no bias either way and saw this film with that in mind.) There was far too much foreshadowing, which destroyed a lot of the anticipation. The dialogue was like reading either a really bad supermarket romance novel or my English paper.

Hayden Christensen is probably the worst actor in the entire film. No direction with poor reading makes Anakin a horrible character. The best actor in the film is probably Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor.

Star Wars Episode 3 is an example of a movie that is all action, and no plot…much like a Schwarzenegger movie…or a Sylvester Stallone flick.

BTW, did you know James Earl Jones did the voice of Darth Vader at the end, and went uncreditted??

Overall, I was glad to go with my friend so that I could just laugh at all the really really bad parts. I cried…George Lucas is one rich guy. Only he could get away with this kind of filth.
