they come in waves…
Last week, I ran out of names of people that I was going to contact to raise support. Jeff, GCM, and I all knew that this was my greatest weakness. And it happened.
But a lot of other cool things happened last week too. A good friend I made through the ombudsman office became a partner with me along with another good friend as well. While I could have been discouraged that I didn’t meet my weekly goal, I felt like God really provided me with a lot of appointments this week.
This week, I have, like 12-13 appointments. I’m really excited about it!
You may be asking yourself, “How can I help?”
Well, I’m glad you asked. If you’re interested in helping me out financially, please shoot me an e-mail and let me know. I can totally hook-you-up!
But, in the mean time, get yourself over to my web site and try out my amazon.com linkage! Up to 10% of your purchase can go toward funding my ministry at Maryland!
Thanks to everyone who is supporting me!
Side note: You may be wondering why I made two different entries for the same day. Well, for one, I felt like it.
Second, I really like using this tagging thing and want to make it as accurate as possible. So, yeah.
I knew the tags would get ya too!
And another thing..
I meant to email you this earlier to give you encouragement – but I kept forgetting so I will tell it here!
Don’t worry about how many names you have or know. Why? Because God is bigger!
My best friend Crystal’s college pastor (Pastor IJ) – is actually supported solely on giving – exactly like you. However, he does not ask for donations or go to people he knows. He prays – and God delivers. I remember one time Crystal was telling me how He was going to deliver a sermon at a revival – but He didn’t have enough money to his name for gas. HE prayed and prayed… and finally a check came in the mail and provided just enough for the trip!
Another person Crystal told me about – who I can’t remember quite if Pastor IJ knows him or if she knows him directly – but a man who again lives on only donations from the church – supports a family of 5 children!
So don’t worry about how many people you know – remember what God has done! Since when do numbers matter with God! Did it matter with Gideon?
