Roommates are “borrowing” your soap. Friends are starting to spread lies. Insults are flying everywhere…and this is only Monday…

Okay, so this is an exaggeration. In fact, it isn’t even a fact so no exaggeration has taken place (semantics). But it’s actually been pretty refreshing to talk with so many new people. What I’ve found to be encouraging is how these Michigan people, who don’t know me very well, have shared their deepest fears and shared their lives with me. I’ve been humbled by how God has used me.

In fact, last night, after our project day, I spent about two and half hours talking about how to reconcile our political views with our spiritual views. The fact is that we can’t. One way or another, we’ll have to compromise. What we believe will eventually come out. What I ended up doing today for my extended time with God was to put together a list of verses that talked about how we are subject to the law, but not everything that is permissible is beneficial. (I’ll be uploading this soon so don’t worry.)

Also today, I shot my first gun for the first time! It was much more exciting than I thought it was going to be. I shot a .22, 9mm, and a .44 (I think). It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while and I’m glad I had a chance to do it here. I have pictures, which I’ll upload soon.
