One year of ‘Crosswords’
One year ago, I made the following resolutions:
- Lose 25 lbs (or be at a reasonable BMI)
- Read the entire Bible in one year
- Write two “Crossword” articles a month
Here’s what I accomplished:
- I actually gained a few pounds
- I’m about 75% through the bible
- Wrote 19 Crossword articles (Out of 22 since I started mid-January)
Not that bad, I have to say! I plan on finishing reading the bible, even though it’s more than a year. What I learned through the year was that it’s not about accomplishing the goal: it’s about the attitude about it. I still want to lose a few pounds, but I learned to take things slow. Reading through the bible taught me that it’s about reading, not about doing. Finally, writing the Crossword articles twice a month taught me to write with a deadline.
Now that a new year has begun, I think I’ll continue writing Crosswords twice a month. Hopefully, I’ll go to the gym more often and I’ll finish reading the bible. But I do need some new goals. How about these:
- Go skydiving at least once
- Go to Europe!!
Let’s see how this year turns out!
