Thank you so much for your interest in becoming my roommate!  I’ve posted ads on several sites and I wanted a place where I only needed up update information once, instead of everywhere.

Below you’ll find some useful information as it pertains to renting a room in my townhouse.

Location info:

  • Located in Alexandria, VA (22315-4815) [Google Map]
  • According to Google, it’s about a 2 mile walk to the Franconia/Springfield Blue Line Metro Station (Fairfax Connector stop about 2 blocks away); Free Metro Parking is available at the Springfield mall which is 1/4 mile from the station
  • Fairfax Connector bus routes service Joust Lane to Franconia/Springfield and to Van Dorn Metro Stations.  Routes 322 and 232 service Franconia/Springfield and 321 and 231 service Van Dorn.  Buses run about every 15 minutes.
  • Minutes to Kingstown Shopping Center, which includes a Walmart, Safeway, Giant Food, & Panera.  Also near by are Bed, Bad & Beyond, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, and Target
  • Easy access to I-395, I-495, & I-95 via Mixing Bowl

Townhouse info:

  • Two rooms available: regular bedroom (10′9″ x 8′10″) and the master bedroom (10′10″ x 12′9″)
  • Rent includes utilities (gas, electric, water/sewer, Internet)
  • Deposit of full-month’s rent will be required, half that amount if you obtain renter’s insurance
  • Room is available immediately (12-month lease)
  • Rent includes access to neighborhood amenities, which include a gym and community swimming pool
  • Bedrooms have very large closets
  • Spacious living area on main floor
  • Skylight in kitchen area
  • Breakfast deck and very large patio
  • Washer/Dryer
  • Extra storage in utility room

Roommate info:

I’m looking for male roommates to share this townhouse.  I’m clean, neat, and a great cook.  Roommates should also be clean.  I’m not just looking for warm bodies; I’m looking for folks who are willing to hang out and live life together.

Roommates will share chores around the house, which will include vacuuming, cleaning common areas, taking out trash, etc.

Roommates should be non-smokers.

Pets are allowed pursuant to a conversation.  I’m highly allergic to cats. If you have a cat or currently live with a cat, please let me know.

About me:

I’m definitely looking for people with whom I have common interests.  So if you see something here that you enjoy, be sure to let me know!

  • I attend Frontline Arlington on Mondays
  • I enjoy jamming on my guitar and playing music.  I play a lot of acoustic stuff, including Barenaked Ladies, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox 20 and others.
  • I try to be as active as possible.  I rock climb, go hiking, and even shoot my 9mm every once in a while

General Info:

  • Rent is due by the 3rd of each month
  • Utilities included in rent: Water/Sewage, Electric, Gas, basic maintenance (light bulbs, paper towels, etc.)
  • Bedrooms are not furnished; basic common items will be there (e.g. pots, pans, plates, cups, etc.)
